I think of it more in the mold of older Hollywood films that built suspense throughout a movie. It's something you don't see much anymore because it's challenging to do. It's a lot easier to blow something up than drive plot and character via dialogue. Tarantino is probably the best example of a director who is very good at the slow burn (If you haven't seen Once Upon a Time in Hollywood yet, I'd recommend it).AgGrad99 said:BassCowboy33 said:

I didn't think it was that suspenseful. Kinda just wanted them to get on with it, and then wished they hadn't.
It's definitely not for everyone.AgGrad99 said:
I get all that. Just didn't like BOne T
I was intrigued by the premise. When it was released, a friend watched it and started raving about it. He said the only requirement was that I had to watch the film late at night, and I couldn't stop no matter how scared I got. I'm not sure I've ever been more afraid of a villain. Maybe Anton Chigurh or The Terminator?Swarely said:
Actually, in this day and age I like.watching movies without seeing the trailers. I enjoyed BT. The acting was spectacular. I just might have nightmares tonight.

To be honest, the torture scene was pretty dang realistic if you've ever read anything about the Comanche.
