My body is ready

Like the show, but glad it only has one more season. Anything more would be drawn out, anything less would have been rushed.

Does the show get better beyond season 1? I've tried to watch 3 times now and I never get past the first 4-5 episodes.

It does. I agree that parts of season 1 were slow, especially Joe and Juliana's first story arc through the neutral zone.

Was that american john Smith at the end?

Filming wraps any day now, and release is slated for Fall of 2019. Last three seasons were released in November, December and October.

It is slow, yes, but I have found it to be extremely compelling. Seasons 2 and 3 were a bit faster paced than Season 1.

The book is but a foundation for this in terms of setting up the environment, the history, stuff like that, but this series is not the plot of the book for the most part. I'm genuinely curious where they are going with this final season. When Juliana disappeared at the end of Season 3, she presumably went to an alternate reality where perhaps the Allies had won WWII. The series has lately implied that the Nazis want to go through their portal to wage war on these other realities; perhaps the filmmakers are going to re-align to real history and have the Nazis get their asses waxed when they step through the wrong portal?

Man I've got to just nut up and watch s2 but the last few times I tried to start it up I just wasn't in the right mindset. Really enjoyed 1 so I don't know what the deal is.

Season two is better, in my opinion.

My girlfriend and I went to Vancouver last October. We watch the show together. We were sitting in this pretty cool dive/rock bar in downtown when I look over at the person seated on my other side at the bar and it's DJ Qualls (Ed). Ended up talking to him for a while, super nice guy. When I asked if he was in town to shoot the next season of Man In The High Castle he said he couldn't say one way or another but made an expression of sarcasm indicating yes. We BS'ed for a little bit then the gf and I left to head onto the next bar.

They show it releasing tomorrow but I'm watching season 4 now!

I'm on episode 5 this is the best season yet! They really needed to come out with a bang cuz last season was so god awfully slow

Just finished episode two and I think there's been more plot development than all of last season.

Stuff left unanswered

• Nazi John driving off and leaving his wife in the street
• John Smith is now missing because Nazi John is dead
• What happened to Thomas in the Marines after the big symbolic van scene
• Add to that they they spent more time finishing the story to Kido's son...who just showed up
• Did the American Reich become the United States again as a nuclear power
• Did the west coast become its own country...without nuclear power
• How did all of those people enter the portal when there was only one machine

That's a start.....but so many more unanswered questions.

Well...sorta. A lot of the people that were wiped out by the American Reich were still alive in the other reality.

Meh I really don't care about the alt world people.

I think that smiths friend taking off the nazi necklace/badge meant that they were going to be their own county. I honestly thought that was Smiths plan all along and biding their time.

Definitely agree such an absolute ****e way to end a phenomenal season and series

Thought the season was great. A lot to wrap up in 10 hrs but the story moved fast. Smith had numerous chances to make a turn and make things right but couldn't in the end which ended up destroying him. As for the final scene, a lot left open to interpretation but definitely didn't bode well for the remaining die hard nazis. A great place to end it but left me wanting more.

The greatness of Rufus Sewell cannot be overstated.

I never watched Lost, but no way the ending of that show was less satisfying than this.

Horrid.

No tie backs even to Tagomi, who seemingly guided Juliana Crane to the place where she kills Smith.

Randos wandering into Naziland like they're exiting a plane but no questions asked. High Castle guy walking into the portal.

And all the lost and wasted characters...

I took it to be a mirror of him getting into the euthanasia van. Pretty obvious he was going off to his death.

The zombie walk sullied a great season

The media girl was sent to a camp for re-education.

Great series, great last season, horrible ending.

What's up with crappy endings this year?

John Smith decided to kill himself when he saw how bad the ending was gonna be.

Wait... what?

Glad I am not the only one who is confused by the ending, it was great right up until it wasn't

Wife and I were on board up until the really really weird last scene that makes no sense whatsoever. I could even ignore the fact that John Smith went off the deep end. Despite having all the power to keep his family safe, he decides to continue the nazi way of genocide even after being reminded of all the terrible decisions he made on the other world.

They set him up to possibly have some redeeming character arc that just never happened, was his wife instead.

I can overlook his character arc issues, but good lord that portal scene made no sense whatsoever. Everyone just walking through like no big deal to walk through a portal to another world.
