If you could put together a compilation of your favorite SNL skits, what would you have to include?

for me:
-Chevy Chase interviewing Richard Pryor for a job. Really pushed the edge with racist language and was one of the funniest skits ever.
-"Jimmy Tango's Fat Busters" - Jim Carrey as a crystal-meth addicted infomercial pitchman....hilarious.
-"Jeopardy" with Farrell as Trabek and Hammond as Sean Connery. There were many of these so it's hard to pick my favorite.
-Eddie Murphy in "Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood."
-Blue Oyster Cult: Behind the Music. I love Christopher Walken saying "it's good....but I need more cow bell!"
-Any one of Walken in "The Continental."
-"Gatorade Cookie Dough" commercial. "Do the Dough!"

Maybe you need to be a Trek fan to appreciate this '86 show that had Shatner as a guest. It's been a long time, but I remember both skits being quite funny.

quote:
222. William Shatner/Lone Justice & Buster Poindexter
gs: Kevin Meaney (Himself) William Shatner (Himself) Lone Justice (Themselves) David Johansen (Himself) Griffin Dunne (Himself)

Sketches include "Star Trek Seafood," "Star Trek Convention," "Sweeney Sisters Christmas," "It's A Wonderful Life: Lost Scenes" and "TJ Hooker."

b: 20-Dec-1986 d: Paul Miller

NOTE: A sketch set on board the Starship Enterprise, now converted into a seafood restaurant in space, has Willima Shatner in an original Star Trek uniform for the first time since 1969. In this episode, Shatner utters the line most despised by Trekkies: "Get a Life!", which also became the title of a book by Shatner.
This is Kevin Meaney's only episode as a featured player. He appears in two sketches.

Any number of sketches from when William Shatner hosted. Including:

- Shatner at the Star Trek convention when he tells all the Trekkies to get a life
- Another Star Trek sketch where the Enterprise is turned into a revolving restaurant, and Kahn is a food inspector trying to take it down
- The singing sisters (Nora Dunn & Jan Hooks), the Christmas one.

Also, would have to include either an "episode" of "As World Turn" featuring Tarzan, Tonto & Frankenstein, or just when the 3 of them sung "Little Drummer Boy", and Frankenstein broke his drum.

[edit] somewhat errie that AggieSpirt posted that at the same time

Also have to include the "Joe Pesci Show" w/ Jim Carrey as Jimmy Stuart, and that other guy as Jim Carrey.

I remember the skit where Jane Curtin goes out on a blind date.

But she discovers they've met before, sort of, because he's her gynecologist, played by Kris Kristofferson.

Or John Belushi mirroring Joe Cocker, both are performing "With A Little Help From My Friends."

Or Dan Ackroyd vividly demonstrating the "Bass-O-Matic."

Or Eddie Murphy selling "Buckwheat's Greatest Hits," including "Wookin' Pa Nub."

Gig 'em, FAST FRED '65.

I can't remember the name of the company, but it is a commercial that is mocking an investment corporation and they keep referring to "the list" and how they must keep it in a safe place. Fun stuff.

Just watched the Best of Will Ferell DVD we got my brother for X-mas. Could have easily been 2 hours longer.Someday, I ray to the Gods of the INternet, TiVo, et. al. to have every Will Ferell skit. The funniest parts are where he gets the other actors to crack up. (see any "Lover" skit in the hot tub.

THANK YOU!! GREAT skit!

There was one from the sevenities where they parodied a car commercial that was popular at the time (I think it was Chrysler...the real commercials went on and on about how smooth the ride was). The SNL skit took it a step further and had a rabbi performing a bris in the backseat while the car was in motion...THAT was funny.

Belushi as the Hulk taking a dump at the superheroes party...."What? You expect it to smell like roses?!?!" Funny!

The supermarket doormat shoes skit was a classic.

Eddie Murpy/Joe Piscopo doing they're version of Ebony and Ivory as Wonder/Sinatra.

The entire episode where Buckwheat got shot.

Kevin Spacey doing his impressions of celebrities auduitioning for Star Wars. This was one for the ages!!

Call me crazy but I think Astronaut Jones with Tracy Morgan is unbelievably funny.

Geez, I could go on and on......

Section 423, The Zone.....Where vocal cords go to die!

"Thirty years ago kids talked about their duties and responsibilities ... today they talk about their rights and privileges."
