Looks like Ricky Gervais is bringing his character David Brent back with a spinoff movie. Comes out August 19th on Netflix.

Actually looks pretty funny.

This. It's genius. One of my top 10 tv shows of all time.

But I will say this. Not sure how a full movie will play. David Brent is best in small doses. 30 minute episodes worked great. This film seems to be primarily him. The U.K. Office worked because the side characters played off Brent and diffused him. It would be too much if it was primarily him.

Watched this last night. Pretty, pretty....pretty good. It's been a while since I had that much of a dose of uncomfortable humor. The comment above about small doses is right. I had to keep hitting pause every 25-30 minutes just to catch a break. Its hard to beat Forgone Conclusion 2.0, not the original band

Nice to see he still has his Sergio Georgini coat.

Sorry, not saying this cos I'm a Brit as there are plenty of amazingly brilliant US TV shows that are hilarious.

If you don't find the U.K. Office series cringengly funny, there is no help for you. It's genius, and the characters are perfectly cast. Gervais is hilarious as David Brent.

I watched the US one and although entertaining, I don't think it was anywhere near as funny. The U.K. Version made me laugh and cringe.
