I moved to Boston about a year ago and my friends here are kinda obsessed with the show. Feeling a little homesick I decided to give it a go and have enjoyed it thus far (almost done with season 1).

My main observation is Coach Taylor's accent. Where the hell is he supposed to be from? Does not sound Texan at all IMO. Looks like Kyle Chandler is from Buffalo and then moved to Georgia for high school/college so you'd think he'd be able to pull off a Southern accent pretty well.

Buffalo, NY (not Texas) for anyone that might be confused.

Great show. I think his accent is fine. Could be a little lighter, but I've heard much worse.

I mean if you're really gonna complain about something, you'd be more accurate griping about Canadian Kitsch's accent for Riggins.
