Randomly came across the www.celebritynetworth.com website and started looking up musicians.

It shows Axl Rose being worth $150 million, and Slash at $32 million.

2 questions:

1 - is this website considered even remotely close to accurate
2 - if so, how on earth is the mental midget Axl Rose worth nearly 5 times what Slash is worth, considering Axl hasn't done jack S since GNR was GNR?

My guess would be that he negotiated a larger chunk of the down stream royalities that has paid him a lot of mail box money over the years. Maybe even a contractual deal that if anyone "left the band" they cut themselves out. Who knows. He was known for being quite the dick with his bandmates.

even then, $150 mil seems like a lot for a guy that hasn't been relevant since about the mid 90's.

If I recall correctly, Axl forced the rest of the band to sign over the name GnR before a show in like '93 or '94. That on top of songwriting royalties with give him a much larger cut of the pie.

Before he left, Izzy Stradlin actually wrote quite a bit of their hits. I don't know his net worth, but it's probably higher than you think.

1 - No. That website is not accurate. Some names may be right but many are definitely off.

Gosh, that "Net Worth" website will suck you in. Doesn't seem to be much science behind it, though. If true, Mick Taylor got screwed by the Stones. Only worth $300,000? And Warren DiMartini from Ratt is worth $3,000,000?
