I'm definitely not the biggest fan of Transformers Michael Bay, but Bad Boys Michael Bay was actually a ton of fun, and this looks like it could very well be a return to form, with an awesome, perfectly-Bay cast. Based on a true story - a Miami New Times article linked to below - Pain & Gain hits theaters on April 26, 2013...

Just read the articles and wow, what a story. That is some seriously messed up stuff. Makes me never want to visit Miami again.

On the movie front, that doesn't seem like a Michael Bay project at all. Not sure I trust this story in his hands.

I have to agree with SDA2005....read all three parts of that article and it seems the movie is going to glorify some pretty heinous crimes by making deadbeats look like Robin Hood. I hope the trailer is just misleading, though.

Isn't there an actor that plays a bunch of supporting roles that is an Aggie? Not Rip Torn, but another guy? I may be mistaken or miswording, but doesn't he usually play dirty or questionable characters?

My girlfriend's friend got hired on as 2nd AC halfway through the shoot. They told her is was a true story and she called BS on her first day of shooting because what they were filming was so crazy. The DP forwarded her the article and it was word for word what they were shooting.

I have to agree. The movie doesnt look anywhere as dark as the story actually was.

After reading the article, my first thought was they need to get Danny McBride to replay his character from "30 Minutes or Less", and throw in Kevin Corrigan to play the other lead. Then I realized they could probably just use the entire cast of "Pineapple Express".

His name is Ronnie Blevins. Worked with him at the Chicken back in 98-99. Great guy, if not a little crazy back them. Maybe he still is...

the trailer looks absolutely HORRIBLE. i used to like wahlberg, but i think that "say hello to your mother for me" skit on SNL has ruined wahlberg for me. dude doesnt act, he just reads lines.
based on the trailer there was no chance i was going to watch this, but now i may have to see it thanks to the links/story posted above. DAMN YOU, TEXAGS E-BOARD

I don't find it that shocking (Wahlberg getting big again). I mean he was Marky Mark back in the day...

I'm more impressed that they found what may be the last remaining Pontiac Fiero for him to drive.
