I don't know if this station is new but it's new to me. So far off and on this weekend I've heard Robert Earl Keen (lots of), Jerry Jeff, Reckless Kelly, CCR (They don't know thier from Oklahoma), Owen Temple, Charlie Robison and a bunch of stuff I've never heard from. Other then the Pat Green and Co. songs this may be a pretty good station. They are based out of Hondo but it comes in clear in SA.

Very cool to hear Reckless Kelly and Cross Canadian Ragweed on a San Antonio radio station. I wish they would play The Old 97's but they may rock to hard for this station.

and when you get closer to austin, switch to 107.1 KGSR. probably the best station I've ever heard.

I second the motion on KGSR. Awesome station! But then again Austin is a much better city than San Antonio.

I still get a bit miffed when people refer to Cross Canadian Ragweed as CCR....everyone knows the first and only true CCR was and still is Creedence Clearwater Revival.

is it just me or is ragweed just a watered down version of reckless kelly?

Isn't Creedence Clearwater Revival that bluegrass band that plays "Will the Circle be Unbroken?" Or some crap like that?

The best thing about KRIO: no annoying dj's and four commercials an HOUR. If you go west of San Antonio, switch to 105.9, it's the same station.

What in the Bejeezus?

No, Creedence Clearwater Revival is the '60s rock band that featured John Fogarty on lead vocals. You know, "Stuck in Lodi", "Have You Seen the Rain", "Willie and the Poor Boys", etc.

However, New Grass Revival is/was a fantastic bluegrass band featuring Sam Bush on mandolin and Bela Fleck on banjo.

Man, now I feel like an idiot. Now I remember who Creedence Clearwater Revival is. I don't see how I forgot when they were just on MTV on TRL just a few days singing thier new song.
