I've seen this film or parts of it several times in the past year. It isn't good (due to a weak script and the acting of Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson) but I wonder if anyone has read the source novel. Its an intriguing story concept.

At a book signing recently during Q&A, Brandon Sanderson answers a question regarding movie adaptions of books and how little power the author has in movie development and brought up this book & movie as an example.

Great book and I suspect the author spent some time in Aggieland since his book Wildside (which is also good) takes place in B/CS. I didn't enjoy Blind Waves by him but Helm may be his best work.

One of those movies that has a cool concept, but the movie just doesn't make it for numerous reasons. The secret society Paladins was just cliche'.

No Jumper was one of the greatest films of all time. The teleportation was mind boggling
