I was reading an article on him recently and it's crazy how much of an impact the man had not only on video games, but on popular culture in general. How different do you think the world would be if it weren't for him?
Just to get you started, he came up with Donkey Kong arcade right around the time that the video game industry was starting to fall apart. Two years later came the videogame crash, and everyone thought it was all over. Then of course came the NES, Super Mario Bros, Zelda, Metroid, etc, and the rest is history.
If it weren't for Nintendo, there probably would have been no Sega, Playstation, Xbox, etc.
Do you think PC games would exist in the form they exist now had the NES not come out? Would they be years behind where they are now, or more advanced due to focusing on one platform?
