Big Time! I have always appreciated the way he writes and directs his own work and he also does great documentaries. Also, he seems to release a quality film every year.

My 3 favorites-Do the Right Thing, Malcolm X, She's Gotta Have It (got to throw in Bamboozled)

War movie was Miracle at St. Anna. I thought it was alright, but not nearly his best.

Miracle At St. Anna was one of the top 3 worst movies I've seen in the last few years just behind The Happening and A Haunting in Connecticut. I won't hold it against Spike though because 25th Hour is incredible and pretty much makes up for it.

The scene in Malcom X when Sam Cooke's A Change is Gonna Come is playing as Malcom is driving to his death is one of my favorite scenes of all time. It gets me every single time.

Malcom X is an amazing movie. By far his best IMO.

He is actually pretty amateurish. The only reason he gets pub is because he is black and he is in eveyone's face or at least he was until he got famous. He got more famous for being Mars Blackmon than being Spike Lee.

Also Reggie Miller made that guy a household name.

The You Tube clip demonstrates that he's bsc. Eeh. So are most people I know.

Honestly, though, he's in the unfortunate position of Thinking People Care What He Thinks about Anything Other Than Making Movies. That's worse than bsc, because it involves becoming self-delusional.
