Are there any Chicago fans on TEXAGS. What is your favorite Chicago album

I dig 'em, specifically their older stuff.

Their debut album in 1969 was really strong, although acclaim ans acceptance took awhile.

"Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?," and "South California Purples" were my favorites off that album.

I've seen them live three times and bands I've been in have played their songs, most recently using sequenced instrumental tracks I've meticulously recorded for songs like "25 Or 6 To 4" and "Colour My World" to duplicate the horn parts and flute solo.

Chicage II is one of my favorite albums, but Live from Carnege Hall is growing as my favorite despite inferior audio quality. I wish "Live from Japan" was available.

I guess I am just showing my age as there does not seem to be much interest in Chicago. From my perspective, they are one of the greats from the late 60's and 70's.

No, they're good. Their 1st greatest hits album is verrrry strong. Of course, once Kath died and they sorta went that soft rock direction of Cetera things kind of went downhill...artistically. I'm sure some of those sappy singles from the '80s were their biggest.

Chicago had incredible musicianship. Cetera added an incredible voice in the lead. Too many songs to name which as my fav.

That is a travesty....

Chicago should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame....
