Anyone watch this show? It's a Shield-esque gritty cop show set in LA. It seems pretty promising; I've watched the first couple episodes on Hulu. It may make up for The Shield void in my life. Or it could just be Shield-lite. I'm hoping for good things.

it's not at all like the shield, more like ER with a focus on law enforcement, but, i've enjoyed it so far.

I think it has been cancled already.

It got renewed for 13 episodes next season on Friday...

Too many cop dramas IMO.

I like the concept. For instance, I think The Wire was one of the best shows ever made. It's just that the tube is over-saturated with them and has been for a while.

What needs to happen is that all cop dramas need to vanish from the airwaves for five years and start over fresh when everyone's not sick of them.

So far I've seen nothing special here.

I've seen the first two episodes and really enjoyed it.

Of course this series would be MUCH better on a network with FX/HBO, which would allow it to be more of a PG-13, close to R, type show. With that said, I think with all the limits shows on network TV have, it's pretty fun to watch.

For some reason they keep moving away from Ben McKenzie. This is a stupid move because him and the other "Regular" cops are the most interesting characters in the show. Most of the detectives are pretty terrible with the exception of the black female one, however she is a ripoff of the one from the shield.

I agree, the latest episode was detectives only and it sucked. They need to focus more on the 4 uniformed officers.

Tonight's episode wasn't bad. The plot with the detectives ended up getting pretty cool, although I really think the cops are a lot more interesting. I'm frustrated that they're not really going anywhere with the cops' storyline. I'm not sure if the older one being gay is a big plot point, or what. All their scenes were pretty funny, though.

It's no Shield, but it's growing on me in it's own way.

I'm really getting into this show. Anyone still watching it? I think the ratings have been slipping - I know it's on for the fall but it may not last long. It's still kinda finding itself with the balance between the cops and the detectives, but it's the first new crime drama I've liked in a long time.

I have been recording and watching all of them. Didn't really care for this last episode, but overall it's a pretty decent show

I'm really enjoying this show. It bounces around a bit and that gets annoying. I think Ben Mckenzie is spectacular and his scenes with the older cop are great. I wish they would develop that more.

And how can you go wrong with C. Thomas Howell???

Yeah, I was surprised I liked Ben McKenzie's character, cause I kinda thought The OC was the worst show in the world.

um - that chick cop with the shotgun is pretty much a badass. thats crazy about the L&O NY Governor guy...

not sure i would have stood straight up on the porch under a lite to return fire at the automatic weapons being fired from the car. i might have crouched, and given the uzi's a smaller target.

i like this show and will give it a try next yr.

Just caught the finale on Hulu. Wow. I was sure Jamila was not going to make it through the end of the episode. Relieved.
