i am trying to figure out how to watch a certain tv show over the internet. i will only need to do it for a couple of episodes (due to current dvr restrictions - my wife wants to watch her show).

so what is the best way to download and watch - i do not have access to streaming video at home but can download at work and put it on a dvd or even take my computer home. someone please tell me where to go to get downloads that are not limited to an ipod

The only way to download is using torrents- most people aren't too comfortable doing that kind of stuff on their work computer though.

You can also download on iTunes and watch on your computer. Not really following the "I don't have access to streaming video" unless you don't have internet at home. Your best bet is going to be to install iTunes on your work comp and bring home and watch. No other source is going to provide legit downloads though.

I see Heroes, Season 3 as available in the iTunes store. That isn't the cheapest option available, but you should be able to download it and take it home.

so what is the trick to watching video on itunes? any time i have ever tried it, it looks like a slide show with audio.

Probably a question for the nerdery. Mine always works fine, but my computer is pretty updated.

i figured out that i can watch m4v (video you buy on itunes) through apple quicktime. no slide show affect, so its a workable solution.

You seriously need a dual tuner DVR.

Try sidereel.com it has a list of places to stream as well as download.
