Really big fan of this one. Cool X-Files/Twilight Zone type show. Nothing here for Lost fans not to love. If Fox does it right, this should be this year's best new series.

This one comes from Alan Ball (creator producer of Six Feet Under, writer of American Beauty). Six Feet Under was probably my least favorite of the prime HBO shows (behind The Sopranos, The Wire, Big Love, Deadwood, and Rome). And this one definitely shares some similarities to SFU. Vampires have never been my thing, but this one was decent and worth a watch.

Life on Mars Remake of a BBC series set to premiere on Thursday nights on ABC.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch this one yet, but it was produced by David E Kelley, who I have long been a fan of (The Practice, Boston Legal, Chicago Hope, LA Law). Supposed to be the one ABC is pushing the hardest this year.

Pretty/Handsome- FX series from the creator of Nip/Tuck- Ryan Murphy.

Haven't watched this one yet, it is about a transsexual that covers his change from a married man to a woman. Doesn't sound like my kind of show, but it's FX and Murphy, so I'll probably give it a shot eventually.

Do Not Disturb- Fox sitcom directed by Arrested Development's Jason Bateman.

Raising the Bar- Legal drama on TNT created/produced by Steven Bochco (NYPD Blue creator/producer) and starring none other than Zack Morris.

Leverage- Another TNT drama series. This one stars Timothy Hutton about a team of thieves and hackers being modern day Robin Hoods by going after the richest, greediest, and most unjust.

TRUE BLOOD is based on a terrific series of books by Charlaine Harris.
The 1st book in the series is, DEAD UNTIL DARK, and the newest release is FROM DEAD TO WORSE.

Just watched Fringe...absolutely loved it, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!

Don't bother watching Pretty/Handsome- FX decided not to go forward with it. Must have been too messed up for even them.

Added torrents for "The Mentalist" and "East Bound and Down"- a new comedy series on HBO from Will Ferrell. Looking forward to catching that one tonite.

Watched "East Bound and Down" this afternoon. Meh. Danny McBride is doing his best to channel the Will Ferrell washed-up sports figure persona. But at this point, the only thing more annoying than Ferrell doing a retread of the same character is another actor attempting to mimic Ferrell retreading the same character.

That said, there were some funny lines. HBO gets to do things with sitcoms the regular networks can't, and that was worth something here. It was still a rough cut of the pilot (the show wasn't even titled yet, there is an "insert title here" in the credits) so HBO could still improve this thing before it actually makes it to air. Honestly though, this thing looks like more a of a "Lucky Louie" than an "Entourage".

Completely disagree about East Bound and Down. That was some of the funniest stuff I've seen in a long long time. The guy isn't acting like Will Ferrell at all. He's Kenny ****ing Powers *****! You're ****ing out!

I liked it, I just wanted to like it a lot more going in than I actually did. I'm still holding on to the wish HBO will return to the golden years.

I'm pretty sure True Blood starts in August or September, whereas Big Love won't be starting up til freaking January.

You are correct, HBO released their schedule this week, and True Blood is up earlier than expected, airing with Entourage.

Awesome to hear about true blood. Watched it last night and was impressed. So far I've also seen Fringe, going to be incredible, East Bound and Down, absolutely hilarious, and Life on Mars, if you liked journeyman you'll love this show. Life on Mars also has Colm Meaney, certified badass.

Watched Raising the Bar. Midway through the show, my wife (who still watches Saved by the Bell every morning during breakfast) says "Who is the main guy, his voice sounds familiar?" I made her figure it out herself, if she can't recognize Zack Morris, I can't help her.

As far as the show, watchable enough. I'm enough of a law fan that I liked it, but it was a little cheesy/overdone at points. Will probably make my DVR line-up and get watched on random nights when there is nothing better on.

Fox held a Fringe panel at its presentation- don't get too used to the pilot, they are already recasting roles.

In other good news on the show (old news, but confirmed today and worth repeating): Commercial time will be cut significantly on the show. Each ep will be 50 mins, up from the standard 42-44 for a one hour drama.
