I thought Monster's Ball was the best movie I've seen in about a year.

On my way home I bought a pint of chocolate ice cream and ate it with a plastic spoon while watching Halle Berry on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn.

When Leticia sees the drawings of Hank and Sonny she obviously realizes that they were on the execution team. I was confused by her reaction though...I'm guessing that she matured and understands that Hank is really a good guy and her late husband was a bad guy despite the circumstances relating to the execution.

When Hank was in Leticia's house there was a picture of Leticia's husband and then we heard him vomit. I assume he saw the photo, but he never mentioned it to Leticia. Why not?

I thought that Leticia should have said she wanted vanilla ice cream when Hank asked her what flavor she wanted. Maybe this would have been too cheezy.

I really liked the movie, I was intrigued from the beginning. Most movies it takes me a while to buy into the story line.

I don't think that the picture on the wall had anything to do with Hank being sick in the morning. Remember the movie started out with him sick in the morning also.

I was puzzled by the reaction Leticia had too. She was noticable freaked out. And they never really talked about what Hank did before buying the gas station did they. Thats what I like about the artsy movies, they don't explain every tiny detail to you, you can kinda take the movie where you want.

It freaked my out when his son offed himself like that in front of both his father and his grandfather. Oh, man that grandfather was a mean SOB.

I'd hate to see the movies that you didn't like. That movie was OK but not one of the best I've ever seen. I think I was too freaked out by the sex and prostitute scenes. Not that I've never seen stuff like that but just the way it was shown gave me the heebie jeebies.
