According to a dumbass in my microbiology lab two years ago, it's a substitute for "bad ass".

Every day he would ask someone a question just so he could loudly proclaim "that's red ass!!!"

When I was in CS a few months ago, I saw him while I was out somewhere. So if he's still a student and he reads texags I'd like to tell him, "EAD homo".
