I like lupe, and their fajitas are good, but freaking skirt steak isn't worth that much money IMO.

BDUB and myself had beef fajitas for two last night at Lupe's.

It is a little overpriced IMO, but ES PRETTY GOOD.

Angel - yea, that is more accurate.

Well, Lupe isn't $30... it is $27 for 2 people. I like their fajitas better than most places, so i'm ok making my man pay a couple extra bucks for the good stuff.

also keep in mind that places like OTB charge you an "extra" $2 or $3 for guacamole and sour cream. Lupe's willingly gives you this "free" of charge.

the best mexican/texmex is at a place in west Houston called "Mexico's Deli". $5 for a massive Torta. It's on Dairy Ashford just north of Westheimer.

Cajun - We were there last night too! We were at one of the picnic tables with our friends and a gaggle of kids. I love that place. But yeah, after we're done, we're always a little taken aback by the price.

Also - Lupes gives you king size portions.

And order of fajitas for 2 easily serves 4...my wife and I usually barely finish the fajitas for 1.

Eh, we were at the one next to 59 between Greenbriar and Kirby. So we all had a Lupe Tortilla jones and got it filled in different locations.

Let's not forget the kick arse tortillas AND the fact they will accommodate my man's gluten-intolerance.
