yah, not bad. check the other grills in the price range and see how many btu's they have compared to that one. try to look past the shiny part.

yes, that's a nice one with a good number of burners and in2 - and a good deal. might check Costco/Sam's. Char Broil makes versions for them that have a different brand on them and are usually $50 cheaper. Sometimes not though.

This is a mediocre grill:

wait, it doesn't have a side-burner. For $300 you should be able to get a sideburner.

It is on sale right now for $209. (it doesn't show it online). My bf needs a new one.

hard to beat for that price...but the sideburner does come in handy.

Cooking outdoors with gas.

Sorry. He has a gas grill now and uses it probably 2 days a week. That would get old with the other.

Yes - I have one and it works just fine. If they are on sale for $209 that is pretty good. I might buy a new one and pass mine on to my son.

For gas grills, that's a good brand. Personally, I'm a fan of charcoal and wood. Never use gas.

My neighbor has that exact grill and it's fine. It'll get as hot as you'll ever need it to. Like someone above said, check out WalMart - my parents just bought a really nice 4-burner with a side burner for half the cost of my 3-burner CharBroil from Lowes. Theirs gets about twice as hot and is larger. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4231477 I was impressed with it.

My biggest piece of advice is don't go for the most expensive thing out there. Like everything, they wear out and will need to be replaced. Mine is 5 years old and is on it's last leg. Buying a new one is a lot easier than buying all the parts/pieces to rebuild the one I currently have.

For those bagging gas grills, have fun getting messy while building a charcoal fire and then waiting 30 minutes for the coals to get right so you can cook a couple of burgers or a package of chicken breasts.

The grill you posted at Walmart is $9 cheaper than the one I posted (it is on sale). And I agree about the gas. Like I said, he cooks on it several times a week, he would hate having to wait for the charcoals to heat up.

I have that exact grill with the side burner and I think I paid $330 at lowes for it. I use it twice a week and have been very pleased with it.
