Seeing double dapple in another thread reminded me or the game dibble dabble. Did anyone plays this in the pool growing up?

Basically you had a toothpic that someone would 'hide' in the pool while everyone else turned around. Then everyone went looking for the toothpic by walking around the edge of the pool. When you found the toothpic you screamed dibble dabble, jumped in the pool and tried to come up with the toothpic. The other players would all jump in to to mess you up. Most of the time the jumping in and splashing moved the toothpic and you had to get out and try again.

No dude. How are you gonna find a toothpick in a swimming pool? I dont think i ever swam in one clean enough to find somethign that small.

hmmm. I'm surprised no one else played this, maybe this was just a san antonio thing. Or maybe my dad is just crazy and made the thing up.
