Niiiiiiiiice! Comes out in April, can run on gas and/or E85.

www.chevrolet.com

read up on it a) over on the left toolbar under "upcoming cars" or b) down on the lower left in the scrolling window

I have been waiting on this since I heard about it back in August.

I've always thought the back end of the avalanche looked horrible.

Looks like the only E85 station in Texas is in San Antonio. Anyone have any idea when other stations will open in Texas, and where they will be?

Looks nice, but E85 is really no better than gas is at the moment.

according to the website E85 runs cleaner and also provides better horsepower and torque. i don't know that much about it, but is that a line of horse puckey?

I'm dying to see the new 1500 next year. I wonder why the Avalanche came out first seeing as the 1500 is Chevy's bread and butter.

Reg-

i read in Car and Driver a couple months back that GM strongly believes it's best sellers are going to be a) Tahoe b) Avalanche c) Silverado. Therefore, they chose to bring the 2007's out in that order.

Mister,

It does run cleaner and all that, but what most peole don't know is that to produce one barrel of E85 is takes about one barrel of oil during the refining process to run the machines. So it's basically a wash. Until they can find a more efficient way to refine it just stick with gas.

The only thing I find there is a link to http://www.e85fuel.com/ which contains information about the station in San Antonio, and no mention of additional pumps.

yeah i was just pointing out the site to you. there are 3 stations in OKC that are E85, but i live in Tulsa. not exactly efficient for me to drive 100 miles for a tank of gas.

If they put the Northstar V-8 in it, it could be a real winner.
