Give me some ideas for a date tonight for my wife and me. We live in Kingwood, but we'll go pretty much anywhere in the Houston area. Something fun, as I don't want to waste one of my "especially romantic dates" on just a random date night (I'll save those for more important occasions).

Maybe comedy club, maybe somewhat expensive restaurant with a cool atmosphere, maybe someplace like cheesecake factory and a movie? Help me out!!

The Aquarium. Decent food, an interesting aquarium exhibit, and some fun, cheesey rides.

we went to the aquarium just this week with some friends, so that's out. good idea though.

AC - I do know my wife, I just don't know what fun things there are to do in Houston, or what's going on this weekend.

Eat/Drink/stay at Hotel Icon and cruise up and down Main Street testing drinks/fun at each bar. Don't forget the places at Market Square a block away with Warren's and La Carafe.

Prego in the village is a great place to eat. It's in the middle of the city, so you could go to just about any bar after that.

Not Fogo de Chao, I don't imagine your wife can eat that much meat (not enough to justify the expense, anyway).

Take her to the North Shore vs. Westfield game, that ought to get you some. . .

If you're going for cheaper go to Old Town Spring and eat at the Wunche Bros. Cafe which has a live band. The town is already decorated with Christmas lights and such and some businesses will be open serving hot chocolate, coffee, funnel cake, etc.

Second the Melting Pot recommendation. My wife loves that place, and it has a good atmosphere for talking and such.
After that, go for drinks somewhere...maybe Sullivan's and listen to some music?
