Is it one of those things where once you've had it you always have it and can just get it again if you're run down, or do you have to be exposed to it again? I honestly don't know.

Dude, it's -osis, a "condition" not just an infection. You'll have mono for life, it will come and go.It's not life threatening, but it's damn sure annoying and an inconvenience. Drink plenty of fluids, take aspirin, if you can tolerate it, and rest as much as you can. It'll go away in a few days.

I'm not a doctor, don't know what an osis condition implies. That really blows that you have it forever.
"osis" simply means "abnormality" or "condition"

I'm actually kinda dissapointed with how weak this thread is so far...
I thought I had mono at the beginning of this week because I kept going home and going to sleep.

terata - i'm not saying it isn't possible, i'm just saying that i have never heard of "osis" implying probable recurrence. calm down.

Mono usually isn't very serious, although the virus remains in your body for life.
