I mean even if he's just a friend. What do y'all think?

NO.

And you're not really friends. He wants in your pants.

I've had male friends walk me to my car to make sure I got there safely. I'm married; they know it. I don't think it is necessarily inappropriate.

Any guy that walks you to your car wants some eventually. He's trying to come across as the good guy you'll take home to mother.

if you happen to be single, and there are no extraordinary circumstances...

Hey! I'm in a organization that sometimes does stuff at night; not always in the best of neighborhoods. There are several women. I think we all get walked to our cars by the guys.

Make the choice adventurous stranger, strike the bell and bide the danger
Or wonder 'till it drives you mad what would have happened if you had.

I agree with 94Dallas...see the ladder theory...he wants in your pants. AND, no matter what you think, if you are single, if you don't want him in your pants....he doesn't know that...unless you tell him straight up.

So, tell him, yes you can walk me but that's it.

PS: He wants in your pants....unfortunately, I have a "friend" like this....he creeps me out every time I'm with him.

It's the "right thing" to offer to do. It's not like you are asking to come over to her place.

What is the ladder theory?

I think it is inappropriate NOT to walk a woman to her car, if it is at night. A woman alone outside at night = dangerous situation.

I have a male friend who always walks his female friends to their cars and opens their doors for them, even if he is not getting in the car with them. Good man.

go to this site:

http://www.intellectual*****s.com/masterladder.html

and then i guess you can look at this one as well (but I haven't read this site yet):

Didn't think about how it would star it away: the letters there are W-H-0-r-e (all letters)

Call me old fashioned, but when I was a manager at a large retail establishment, I told all the guys working there to make sure if any woman/girl/female type was walking to their car after dark, they would get an escort. Plus it created a couple of couples.

He BETTER if it's dark! Daytime, if he's a friend, I don't care.
We had the policy about being walked to our cars at night, too...better than being out their alone with the hobos rummaging through the dumpsters.

I'd like to remind some of you guys about the teenager who worked at Wal-Mart and was kidnapped walking to her car after work in the dark. Yeah, might not have ended in her murder had someone walked her to her car.

Okay, so I think that everyone is getting way off the point here: I'm assuming that Angelina is just talking about some guy friend of hers that she might have met for lunch or dinner or something like that....not a friend or coworker that wants to make sure she gets to her car at midnight after leaving work safely.

Of course the after-dark rule applies...unless, he asks and she refuses...b/c it's two feet away or something like that, but in this situation, the guy should wait and watch the girl get to the car.

mmhmm, but what about walking to the front door? Does that even happen anymore? It's kinda out of the fifties, but I think it's a solid idea.
redass08
How long do you want to ignore this user?
yes, a guy should always walk a girl to her car no matter what
DMB Aggie
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Aramis: I had my guy friend ask if I wanted him to walk me to my front door last night....I said no thanks....he'd been drinking a bit and might think it would be an invite inside....and I didn't want that.
txdragonfly

Walking her to the door is far more forward than walking her to her car.
DMB Aggie

Txdragonfly: I will agree on that one.

I do it for my friends all the time when it is dark outside. I want the piece of mind knowing they at least got to their car safely. Nothing more, nothing less.
