Ok. When you buy tupperware, or ziplock containers or whatnot at the store, you always wash them before use. Same with cups, dishes, silverware, etc etc etc.
So why do we not wash restaurant plasticware before using? To-go boxes (plastic not styro)? Keg cups? Surely they are manufactured in a similar facility and yet our salad or whatever we get to-go is sitting right in there.
I'm not a clean freak; I was just wondering if plastic containers used by restaurants were pre-washed or not (or, if they are manufactured to cleaner standards).
