I'm a fan of not kissing on the first date...
Not cause I'm against it or anything, but it leaves them wanting more...

There's nothing wrong with a kiss on the first date if you are truly interested.
Take her/him to lunch first. no expectations and conversation flows more freely. plus if you don't like her/him then it is a much smaller investment of time and money. If you do get along and make plans for another date, then that is when you kiss.
