My roommate just went on a trip and he had a 5 hour layover so he called me about what he should do and i said go see a movie. He went to see crash and it took up his time and he loved it and everything was ok! So people seeing movies by themsoves aren't all that bad.

I'd rather go to a movie alone than to a restaurant alone, but I'm not really uncomfortable with either. Personally, I think everyone ought to be able to be comfortable being alone every now and then, out in public even.

I love going to movies and restaurants alone when the hub is out of town.

It means I can see exactly what I want and I can bring a book and get some BBQ or whatever I am craving at a restaurant

I saw a hot chick sitting by herself at the movies when I went to go see The Grudge. It was the same night A&m lost to Baylor, so nothing really suprised me that evening.

part of being an adult is doing things on your own.

i hate people who talk or chew their popcorn too loud - so i normally go alone.

I have done it before when traveling on business and have extra time and nothing else to do. Especially, if it is a movie I want to see and I know Mrs. GD would not - usually a horror or action type flick.

However, these days, movies come out so fast on DVD and DirecTV, that I can usually wait.

Hubby used to do that a lot. He got off work earlier than I did and could go see a movie at the cheap, early show, usually one I wouldn't have wanted to see anyway.
