Men or ladies ... what is the most money you ever spent on a pair of jeans?

I ran an errand with a female co-worker today and she spent 140 bucks on a pair of jeans at this small womens clothing store here in Orlando. Hey ... it's her money, but I was a tad surprised when I saw the price tag.

Maybe $50. When I was a stupid kid. Now between $20 and $40, usually. And the $50 would have been once. One pair of jeans.

I just hate getting new jeans in general. Theres nothing like the feel of a good old pair of well worn, broken-in jeans.

40-60 because I have found the jeans that are my ideal fit and last for years.

yeah about $140, but all my other jeans are not that expensive. most people spend a lot of money on dress clothes (a nice dress or suit) that they hardly ever wear, so why not spend a lot on jeans that get worn almost every day?

the jeans I sell are like 120...they are Gianni Bini and BCBG and To the Max.

A freakin tank top is like 60 bucks.

I dont own anything from there.

The most I've spent is like 60, but they were a REALLY good pair of jeans that I tried on...went home, and all i could think about was how good they looked, and bought them a week later.

$118 for a pair of jeans from Bebe. I had just endured 2 back-to-back jaw surgeries and lost a bunch of weight. I bought them with my husband's approval to mark my first major shopping outing and to show off my renewed figure. I've only gained about 3-4 lbs. since then, so they still fit.

$29.95, I think. But, I usually only buy Wranglers or Old Navy.

Can't remember for sure, but I think they were around $300. But, that was because they were great, normally I wouldn't go over $200 just for jeans.

Toured a plant once where they make Denim from cotton grown in the Lubbock area. Their highest-quality ouput went to Levi Strauss. Strauss would reject a roll of denim cloth if it had more than 3 visible defects per roll. Each roll was 6 feet wide and 300 feet long.

The rejected, low-quality stuff was sold to the makers of "designer jeans" that were the rage of the time (1980s).

The best jeans come from thrift stores. I can get a pair of cool jeans at a thrift store for cheaper than a burger meal. Save your money for clothes that matter. like suits.

I think my last pair of Lucky Brand were $78 pre-tax. I only have one pair that aren't Lucky...I got a great pair on sale at Banana Republic for $25.

I'm glad I don't have to maintain some of you in the lifestyle to which you have become accustomed.

funny, my Cinch Jeans (my western or cowboy jeans) are the most expensive jeans i buy. usually wait for them to go on sale, otherwise they're between $35-50 (i think).

I wanted to buy the expensive ones, but just couldnt bring myself to do it. The jcrew that i wear all the time are 88 bucks not on sale, but they just got discontinued ... I never bought them at full price, usually paid between 30 and 40.

If you spend more than $50 on jeans, you better have an a$$ like gold that needs to be shown off.

My gap bootcut stretch jeans are $58 ($40 on sale). They're the only jeans I've found that are long enough and comfortable. I've had them for over 2 years now so I'm not going to complain any about spending that much...it's not that much to spend for good jeans.

I recently purchased two pairs jeans from Lands End, one khaki, one olive drab. It's nice to have the comfort of jeans but not actually wear "blue jeans" Then I came to the realization that I've come full circle and am in actuality wearing Toughskins for big people.

Before I came across Blue Cult jeans, I could never imagine spending so much on a pair because jeans have never fit well. I swear, these jeans are the best thing since sliced bread. I have a tiny waist and a relatively big butt, so I always had problems with wide gaps at the waist. The stretch denim hangs off my hips and hugs my body well. Nice slim fit and so comfy, I could do cartwheels in them. They were worth every penny.

I don't understand spending over $100 for jeans. I don't really get spending more than $40 bucks usually but I could deal with a $100 for a great pair. But $300?!

Spend your money how you like but I can't bring myself to spend that much on jeans.
