Is a rusty submarine anything like a rusty trombone?
Not unless the trombone can shoot ICBMs and submerge under water...if it can, then yes its exactly like a submarine.
a rusty trombone can drop bombs, but no ICBMs.
Then, perhaps it is merely a cousin of the submarine.
