I finally got to eat there last week in Dallas. I had a Frisco melt, fried and a chocolate malt.

The Frisco melt was really good but next time I'd have to order it without the "tangy" sauce.

The fries were WAY over rated. They seemed stale. I guess because I was expecting them to be crispier given the size.

The malt was good but "intense" and it took forever for them to make it.

That is the only fast food place I have ever been in where one could order cottage cheese with pineapple.

The fries really suck there, especially if you are dumb enough (like me) to have ordered the chaddar fries, which had some kind of cheese soupo on them, nothing at all like ballpark cheese, or grated/melted cheese. I hear people from up north love that place though

Ate at the one in Arlington across from the Ballpark in January... I thought it was pretty good. But, I am not going to go out of my way to find one if there is a Whataburger nearby...

the tangy sauce is thousand island dressing.

braums is better.

Try the chili mac.

They have the best cherry coke in the world.

steak and shake is the second best burger you'll find in the st louis area behind culver's. white castle doesn't count because they're the size of a jimmy dean breakfast sandwich.

burger selection must be pretty f'ing lean in St. Louis then.

steak and sheak isn't that great. i've only been there once and i went with a lot of people...a few of them were really excited about it. the food wasn't that good. after a tip, it cost about 8 or 9 bucks. way overpriced.

but hey, if you like it...enjoy.

hey aggieclass04, I ate at my first steak'n'shake up in da lou. My friends from St. Louis were calling it the Stizzle Shizzle. I kept looking for a sign that said stizzle shizzle, because I had never heard of steak n shake before.

False advertizement!

That's a pretty ****ing good milkshake. I don't know if it's worth five dollars but it's pretty ****ing good.

Not a bad place, but not great either.

Braum's has better burgers and much better shakes IMO.
