The O&M building is the tallest building between Houston and Dallas, and the view of campus from the upper observatory room is pretty sweet...

...is where my first and last class at A&M was at.

Isn't there a taller building in the Woodlands?

Trust me....being a meteorology major, the top floor classrooms of the O&M building lose their appeal pretty quick.

i remember going up there last year for about 10-15 minutes, and i was sweating profusely when i left...

There is A/C up there, it was always left off because few people ever go up there.

Between Houston and Dallas?!? I think you'd have to include the ALICO building in Waco, and I believe it wins out.

i think it depends on if you include the height of the antennas. but i don't know much about this architecture stuff.

I have a buddy who used to bone his girlfriend there...I guess it was appealing because of the lack of people and AC.

the anadarko petro building in the woodlands is like 30+ stories tall...sorry O&M

i guess when they say "between houston and dallas" they mean the houston area, which the woodlands is a part of.

either way, who cares. the building where i work in Dallas is taller than both of them. my building can beat up your building.

More buildings should have bathrooms in the stairwells in between the floors.

Sixiron, how's the job going and living in Dallas for you?

Surely it has been fixed in the past few years but early on the elevators in the O&M building were somehow wired together and when one elevator closed its doors and started up the other would do the same even tho empty. Talk about elevator-rage....to be in a hurry and reach the elevators just as one filled and started up and the one beside it empty closed and went up also.....then would stop at all intermediate floors up and down with the first one. For the ones waiting, rage was a mild description
