I would recommend you look into the Watermark Hotel and Spa on Crockett. Also, look into the Crowne Plaza, the Valencia, and La Mansion Del Rio.

St. Anthony's and The Menger are two with old world charm and each a few blocks from the river but plenty close.

Not ON the River Walk, but a quick walk or trolley ride (passes included) to the RW... and a really nice B&B... I like the Imari room the best...

The Hotel Valencia is very nice and quite affordable compared to other hotels on the Riverwalk. It is part of the Small Chic Hotels group. The rooms were very nice and the whole hotel is neat as well.

Also, there is a fantastic Mexican restaurant below the hotel right on the river.
It is about a 10 minute walk from the mall so it is in a much quieter area of the Riverwalk than some of the other hotels too.

Definitely one to check out.

Stayed at the Valencia, very nice. Nice bar, and the Mexican restaurant below is nice. But, it is not a B&B, if that is what you are looking for.
