When I lived on campus between 1990 and 1994 there were a few groups of students who were playing a game called Tote. It consisted of throwing a 3 foot long flexible stick at your opponent who would then have to try to catch it on the "handle" and avoid being struck in the head or torso. The game was supposedly developed by soldiers during Vietnam and the tote stick came with a sheet of instructions. Anyhow, there was a student on campus who was selling these Tote sticks and I bought one from him. I was just curious if anyone else out there remembers this or played this game?
I still have the Tote stick that I bought from this guy and even found the sheet of instructions and it brought back a lot of good memories from my days in Aggieland. My suite mates and I would play outside of Aston Hall late at night.
I've been searching on the internet for it but have not found any information about whether these things are still being produced and sold or not but thought someone out there might remember this fun and addictive game.
