Howdy all! I'm in a contest to win $25k and a spot in an Ace Hardware commercial. I wanted to see if I could get some help from the famous internet poll Ags. I know you don't know me, but I'm an avid A&M fan. I did not attend, but have lived in CS for 36 of my 44 years. I've followed the Ags to CWS, so many bowl games I cannot count, tournament games, and over the years have made trips to cheer our football team on in South Bend, Nebraska, Colorado, Miami, and more. We are a generous group, but we do require tribute for our eyes. I am not of this perversion… but I do require rule following as exact as an autistic person would. For if we do not follow rules, the internets would break down and I would have nothing to do and nowhere to complain about Aggie Football and things while sitting on the toilet.

It may be a little silly, but $25k is a good chunk of money for some people. I just figured I'd put it out there on all the platforms and hope some people read my profile and maybe vote. Doesn't hurt.

I think the resistance you're running into here is threefold (four since you refused to activate Rule 1, but I don't know if you could anyway since you're a rookie.)

#1: Nobody wants to give Home Depot their email address just to vote in a contest.

#2: You're not a regular poster. You have a few posts in 2014, and everything since then is this, you wanting to sell tickets, and a couple of posts that appear to be you pretending to be a customer of your own AC business saying how great said business is. And hey, I'm certainly not above promoting my own business in creative way, but it does across a little "ehhh" when you haven't said much else.

#3: Through no fault of your own, you asked for help on the Gen board a week after an idiot asked us all to donate to his GoFundMe to help pay off his cat's vet bill so he and his wife can still have their dream wedding at Mt. Rainier next summer, and a deep dive by some intrepid folk uncovered his fascinating web of lies on Reddit. You're not asking for $ and nobody is calling you a liar, but you just ran into an unfortunate recent or perhaps permanent bad taste in the mouth of people on the Gen board seeing a rookie come on here just because they need something, not to contribute.

Appreciate the insight. Yeah, was not my finest hour posting as a customer. That was 2 years into the business, struggling and was trying anything. I did not know about the gofundme. I see how that would definitely turn someone off to this. It's fine though. I didn't imagine I'd get hundreds of Aggies on here voting for me just because I posted it here. I don't expect anything from anyone. Everything is earned. I was just hoping some may read the profile and feel moved to vote. Thanks again for the time to write all that out.
