Overcast morning in west Georgia/east Alabama as we are enjoying some watermelon and croissant for breakfast. Critters fed and Colombian Supremacist coffee is made.

Because a good day starts with good coffee.

Make it a good one in spite of what humankind and the cartels are up to.

What did the cartels do now?

I bought some new sheets and a mattress topper yesterday and they made my bed so much more comfortable. Except the bottom sheet still doesn't quite fit tightly enough and it was sliding around a little bit underneath me. I have to figure out one of those little bungee things to put under the mattress and tighten everything up.

I also had the stark realization this morning that if this is my primary problem of the day it means I have a pretty damn good life and should be far more grateful than I am.

• Pretty good coffee this morning (Strawberry and cream flavor)
• Need to get an order in for parts needed to flash mod a 4th gen iPod, and to swap the optical drive in my Dreamcast for an SD card that you can load the entire game library on
• For real though, it would be loads of fun to play Chu Chu Rocket with the kids
• Weather's changing and it looks like I'll finally be able to go for evening runs again without looking like I fell in the river halfway through.

It's decent. This was my third time to have it. The first time was the best, but it's still something different. They give you syrup, but I don't put it on there.

I love Fat Bear Week!!

Going to try my hand at weather modeling. I'm using chatgpt to build a model, or rather analyze existing weather models, going back five years. It's also using records for the 21 weather recording stations within 40 miles of Columbia. Using my GPU, and I'm going to try to have my software learn which models to trust in which situations. Also going to see if I get into microforecasting. Forecasting for particular areas like along a river on a cold winter morning, or on the Ozark Plateau versus off of the plateau on a warm summer afternoon. That's why I'm keeping records for 21 local recording stations.

My first video card was an Oak 256 KB VGA card. They've changed a lot in the 35 years since then.
