Met a nice couple at dinner yesterday evening. The man is a Stage IV prostate cancer survivor and had an amazing story. They surprised us by covering our check. When we got ready to leave the server said the other couple had taken care of it. Very nice surprise!

Going into work for a bit

Heading back to Dallas after a week in Santa Barbara. Going from highs in the low 80s to highs in the high 90s. I'm sure I'll survive.

Iron Maiden/Megadeth last night was great; even better, I was under the pavilion so didn't get rained on. Grocery shopping done, dog retrieved from boarding. Laundry. Chicken thighs marinating, will grill later. Work. Football.

In Brownsville till Wednesday, then a quick turnaround to Branson to see the grandkids for five days.

We were about 95 degrees in the city today. I went to the shooting range all the way up at 11,000 feet and it was maybe 70 up there. Shot some 6.5 Creedmoor reloads with the 147 ELD-M. Then tried out the new 10mm. Holy smokes! Definitely more powerful than either my 9mm or .45.
