Front porch light is being glitchy. Not sure if it's the dumb LED bulb or the fixture. I'll start with the bulb.

Fumoto valve I tried to install on my wife's vehicle doesn't fit. They said it would fit but the oil pan design has the drain plug in a little recessed area, and the valve I bought has a nipple on the end that hits the side of the recessed area when you try to install it. Maybe one without a nipple would work. They made it a real pain in the butt to do an oil change on that vehicle with how they made the splash guard

Sweltering hot. It's felt like Texas this week outside and will continue to for another week. I have the air set on 75F, which keeps my hallway at 76F and keeps my bedroom/office 81F. I have my ceiling fan cranked, and it's okay. The cats love it warm.

A couple of college football games on tonight and tons of baseball. My models are predicting it all!

• Kids are going to Six Flags all day tomorrow so my plan is to watch CGD through the end of the Aggie game from the pool doing nothing ALL DAY.
• Cannot WAIT to stop going to Minneapolis every week.
• So excited for college football to be back.
• Will probably put the Fall decor out this weekend. This is usually my absolute favorite time of year, but being our first summer with the pool and not being able to enjoy it much due to being gone all summer, I'm a little sad about summer ending. But the fire pit and hot tub will have to be the new relaxing places.

• Had my first official thesis meeting. We decided on my research topic and the framework of my composition. Now the real work begins.

Today is Jimmy Buffett Day, for all the Parrotheads in the house. It's a day of service and community. If I had all the money in time, I'd be in Key West today, cleaning up a beach or a coral reef, or helping build a habitat house…then partying like teenager on Duval Street afterwards.

I can't believe Bubba is gone.

Dusted off the old projector like I do with every football season and cleared a big space on the wall. 720p but bright. Surprised the bulb hasn't died yet. It is pushing 14 years old but then again I only use it for about 3 months out of the year and only on Saturdays.

Those were my plans for the day, other than watching football tonight.
