TCU let me down. Georgia Tech let me down. The 2026 pickoff is *not* off to a good start.

Week 1 is over for me. I lost almost half of my $10k.

I also will add that I was mostly picking some likely/possible upsets and several longshots i.e. UNT over Indiana since it was Week 1 but it came out nicely for me. I have never been ranked this high before and after this week never will again, so I'm taking it while I can.

I still remember years ago when someone put a max bet on App State over Michigan and that one game pretty much bankrolled their entire season.

Teach me your pickoff ways

1. Put ridiculous bets on huge long shots to skew the odds.

2. Watch others bet against the long shots looking to double up.

3. Pull money out of long shots at the last minute and move to moderate yield safe bets.

4. Enjoy 20-50% profit while everyone else wonders how they only got .00000001%

I already stated my complete process above.

I do like Texas Rebel's approach though, so long as you don't forget to change the wagers to something serious later.

I'm sure I will forget to make my weekly picks at some point and will just pretty much mail it in after that.

I do have good luck betting against the Ags, or more like they have good luck when I bet against them. Later in the season I will bet against them to ease the pain if we lose. I will be happy and not worry about the wager if we win.

I am #21 right now.

All I con suggest is to wait until the last second to place your bets. And then, if you get ahead, hedge your bets later in the weekend to safer positions.

I also love home dogs.
