Saw good live music last night. Wes Nickson from New Braunfels. Country isn't my thing but he was really good.

The high today here is 85.

Lost power about 4:00 yesterday, got it back about 9:15 this morning.

Have some old family friends coming up from Houston to spend the day with us and go to dinner. The girl of the couple is someone I've known since I was a kid; but didn't really hang out with her when we were younger. She was a few years younger than me, lived in the Indian bubble of Sugar Land (70's and 80's), and is a tsip.

She's never been to College Station. Meeting at the library and then my wife and I will take her and her husband on a tour. I think we have to stop in the Chicken but Mrs scd88 isn't as high on that idea as I am.

It's dumb hot out.

Four more work days until a 2.5 week vacation.

I may choose to not go back.

Just walked over 3.25 miles and I am soaked. It's quite humid in west Georgia/east Alabama.

Head just a bit further east.
High of 83 at Lake Burton today.

• Got a migraine about 30 minutes after waking this AM. Luckily caught it early and got meds in.
• Didn't get up again til after 11, but still been lounging most of the day in bed.
• Just booked a Texager to Le Blanc Los Cabos. LOVE that resort.
• About to do some A&M work.
• Try to do more travel work later but we shall see.
• Maybe get in the pool and read my book around 7.

It's freaking hot outside.

I was in Ohio for work all week and the weather up there was so nice. Got back home to Texas yesterday and this weather sucks. I wish I could talk my wife into moving but she never will.

Oof that sucks. I hope all y'all are careful with that heat.

I'm on the couch with a big orange cat next to me. It's ok right now.

I don't mind the heat. 38 winters in the central Rocky Mountains gave me a whole new perspective on summer.

was a high in the 90s today, but a rainstorm came in a few hours ago and it's in the 70s right now.

Love colorado weather; hot, cold, whatever it wants to be.

I just turned off the air conditioner and opened the windows. Currently 71 degrees with a predicted low of 57 in the early morning hours overnight.

That's my dead of winter.
