Rellis used to be an old Army airfield. Sneaking out there was so much fun.

We used to have a Fort.

Not a real one though. Great food and my brother worked there in the 70s.

Pooh's Park was amazing. Couples Skate and then going the opposite direction. Woohoo talk about fun.

Only place I've been where you can carve your name into your table while drinking or waiting for food. And there are lots of places where you can do this in B/CS. Benny regretted leaving his pocket knife in Missouri the whole time we were down there.

I get nostalgic thinking about the nights spent drinking and then admiring the scenery at that lake in Bryan; the one with the arsenic warning signs.

I used to fish there. Never kept anything. But would come home with a bunch of golf balls.

The namesake for Bryan, William Joel Bryan, was a nephew of Stephen F. Austin.

Still waiting on factoids that are interesting....

There used to be a cemetery where Dorm 9 is currently located. Those graves were relocated in 1938 to the corner of Marion Pugh and Luther Streets. In 2011, the graves were moved again to the Memorial Cemetery of College Station.

There used to be a swine research facility where the Bush Library is located. There was a two rut trail running from what's now West Campus to it, and we would go four wheeling out there in an old Jeep from time to time.

Some old timers (and some Bush haters) still refer to the library as "The Pig Farm".

My wife took "sailing" in P.E. and Lake Arsenic was their practice location . Mid-70s.
