I'm entering my senior year and receive my Aggie ring in October. Are there rules under TABC that would prevent me from having my ring dunk at a bar? I could see how a ring dunk at northgate could be considered overkill, but ring day falls on the same day as my father's 50th

To answer the OP - Northgate (TABC) outlawed ring dunks in 2004-2005. Before this, that WAS where you dunked your ring, per tradition.

If you are doing it right you would have the pitcher chugged before anybody knew what was happening. Take 7 minutes or so and you deserve to be thrown out.

Or invite a bunch of us olds out there and we will distract the bar staph. I'm assuming they are the ones who would narc on you. We can distract them with our stories about how great things were. That will keep them distracted or they might get so bored and off themselves. Either way you are in the clear.

I'm newly 21 and have heard ring dunks are banned at northgate. On the contrary, I saw a group dunk at chimys as a "private" event this spring. Also, this past weekend, my bartender said they could host it at their bar on northgate. Genuinely did not know what the deal is… still don't.

well TABC runs stings so if i was a bartender i'd be a dick to patrons too. hell the tabc will lie to get a bartender

I drank a pint of Jager, then spent about five minutes drinking my pitcher of Killian's Irish Red at Northgate Double Dave's, and went back to the dorm and started in on a second pint of Jager. I was actually at a party at Crocker Hall all afternoon/evening/night.
