22 years ago today, I was in Prince Edward Island watching the CBC, and the big news was that Vancouver had gotten the Olympics. Makes you think.

I was in Toronto this week and was there on Canada Day.
Two observations:

1) went to the Blue Jays game and was walking on the stairs in he lower bowl during an inning by the seats. If I had done this in the US, almost certainly would have been scolded to sit the **** down and get out of the way by the fans. The Canadians are super reserved. I accidentally bumped a jays fan on the way out of the stadium and they apologized to me lol

2) watched the fireworks, which they start at 2300 hours. Unlike in the US, plenty of places along the harbor by the bars to watch the fireworks. The finale of the fireworks sucks compared to the US. Just one big bang versus the constant barrage of explosions in the US

Americans are just more passionate about everything
