Helping my In-laws clean up, and they have a couple dozen of these empty cylinders. Not sure where they came from, but need to know how to dispose them.

Would a metal recycling place take them?

Those are medical grade and can be reused. Check with a pharmacy (not chain but an independent) and also supply companies like Lincare that specialize in oxygen systems

Metal recycling centers "should" not take sealed containers. They can cause a very explosive incident at a steel mill. However, shady recyling centers will stuff them in trunks and try to get rid of them that way.

I echo the medical supply company. There is a marking on the cylinders to show how old they are and when they were last inspected. As long as they aren't ancient, I would think they would take them.

Put by the curb on trash night. Some enterprising hombre will pick them up.

Keep them, refill them, and wait until you are attacked by a giant great white shark. Then toss one in the shark's mouth and shoot it

We use them to keep bait alive for our yearly catfishing trip. Refill from larger cylinder.

Sell them on TexAgs as bait life entenders!

I am just trying to get rid of them. Not wanting to make money.
