Does anyone else have a grueling summer work trip schedule? I've been on Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard since mid May. I have to go between whitefish Montana and Banff, Canada for all of June and July. I can't wait to come home in August and enjoy some Texas heat for once.

No. We make the young kids do that. Us old folks stay put.

It ain't a work trip in the summer unless you get to go to places like Dallas or Memphis in late July or early August. Maybe even throw in Shreveport, Lubbock or Altus, OK.

In Oklahoma the chances of a big tornado are higher.

This summer:
Seattle (only 1 week rather than 8 weeks alternating between here and there for a week at a time like last year)
Portland
Philadelphia
Heath, OH
St Louis

Already done:
St Louis
Huntington Beach

This year I'll hit 39 or 40 states visited!

Portland, TX?

I lived there until 3rd grade. Really enjoyed my time there.

Oregon, the fun Portland. 'Put a bird on it!' That place F16 thinks will get you killed if you travel there.

I do need to pick up a pair of thick rimmed glasses before going, or else I'll look too much like a tourist.

Just don't carry an umbrella, that's a dead giveaway.

You also need to visit Mills End Park! It's the smallest public park in the world with a total area of 452sq inches

I like the rose and Japanese gardens. When I lived in Seattle I ran down there a lot, pretty much whenever a friend or I wanted to buy something expensive and not pay sales tax on it. It's been a while though, and will definitely be easier because this time it won't involve running up and down I-5.
