" According to passengers on board, a deranged man sitting in the back of the aircraft reportedly threw a fit when he did not receive his preferred meal and was told he couldn't sit in an exit row with a baby. "

"The ordeal escalated when the man charged at flight attendants and then rushed toward the front of the plane, where he attempted to "barge into the pilot's cabin."

" They were asking around if there were any police officers or Army members, or somebody who could help because there were no air marshals on," she continued... "
"… "Back to New York at 3:30 in the morning. They offered us nothing," the pissed passenger added.

Passengers said they were forced to remain on the plane as the man was escorted off by authorities but were offered no perks by the airline following the disturbance, the outlet reported.

"I asked to use the American Airlines lounge to breastfeed and change," Tomlinson recalled.

"They said you can go in if you pay $79."

I think AA customer service needs work. That's a long flight. I recall a United flight from Chicago to Tel Aviv 2 years ago and the cabin crew looked very fit and combat ready.

I did the Chicago to Tel Aviv flight on Spirit Airlines, and the stewardess executed a passenger before we took off just to make a point.

I missed that flight this time last year. A dozen people (different parties) ran from our delayed AA flight and got to the gate to fly to Milan fifteen minutes before takeoff. The door was shut, the staff was gone, but the plane was still at the gate. Screw AA.

Maybe they didn't use bullets.

Thought trans atlantic flights had to have an air marshall for all Continental flights. Guess it depends on the airline.

Why do the passengers feel entitled to perks from the airline due to a passenger being crazy? That's not their fault.

That is an FAA regulation, not up to the airlines.

All airlines are the worst, but American is the most worst I can think of. They sent my bag to Lima last time I flew and the gate agent told me, without missing a beat, "This is why you shouldn't fly American."

Yeah that's not American's fault (the delay maybe), but once the gate shuts the door, they are not allowed to reopen it.

Whatever. I looked good walking around Bellagio in capre pants and boots for three days until my luggage showed up.

I'm pretty sure we were part of that group. They put us up overnight in a shtty hotel that was worse than an old Corps dorm. We had terrible food and watched a lot of old Columbo because it was the only English language show on the TV.

Next time, we're saying screw that, using points at a good hotel and going out to enjoy the city we're stuck in.

And yeah, screw AA.

Couple coworkers were in a flight from Brazil to ATL the other day and I guess some people in the back of the plane got in an argument with the crew and the flight was rerouted and FBI and ICE boarded the plane and took the people off in cuffs.

Sue the passenger for a million$ and then file charges with the appropriate District Attorney.

Got to Hawaii a few years ago and they asked us to remain seated when they stopped at the gate as air marshals were going to be boarding.

They took two folks off the plane in cuffs and they were sitting at the gate, still in cuffs, with the police. Nice way for them to start a Hawaiian getaway! Wife and I had no idea there was a ruckus going on in the back of the plane.

That was Hawaiian Airlines, no American though.
