- -1 degrees today with a high of 1 in Iowa. Wind chill feels like -17.
- Makes it hard to be motivated to leave for the gym and errands.
- Did something on Friday at the gym that has my quads still screaming - like, hold onto something when I sit down level of ouch - and I don't know what. My form must've been super bad for it to still be this ouchy. Damn.
- Need to run out to Scheel's if I'm gonna survive this level of cold in the Badlands. Yikes.

Finally home. Picking up Penny from my uncle's house in a couple of hours

-made an appointment with my new ENT to get my ear implant checked out
-didnt realize I had the day off until just before bed last night so that was nice.
-italian sausage pasta and Caesar salad for dinner
-made another appointment
-just finishing up a few errands then spending the rest of the day inside.

Slept crummy last night. Or should say, slept hard when I slept, it just was not enough sleep.

Been busy today but not getting much off the list. Got invited to another meeting this afternoon that was not initially on the schedule. It's hard to be popular.

Late afternoon and evening will be busy.

No I have a somewhat uncommon/rare disorder that causes the bones in my ears to harden preventing them from vibrating. No vibration=no hearing. Whenever I go to an ENT or see a new doctor I'm considered an "Interesting" case. The solution is to replace the bone(s) with a prosthetic implant which I have had done. I go in once a year for a check up and hearing test.

Since I moved, I called up a new ENT and his office said they don't take patients without a referral. When I explained my condition the nurse put me on hold for 5 minutes and when she came back she was ready to get me set up for an appointment. They scheduled me to see two different doctors and asked if their attendings/med students could observe.

Apparently it's slightly more common for people who grew up drinking non fluorinated water or those without access to clean water. So it doesn't come up too often in the US (for the record I grew up drinking clean and fluorinated water).
