I need a new cordless vacuum and considering buying one off of Alibaba. Dyson's run $399. Something similar is around $50 on Alibaba. Our last Dyson crapped out after about 2 years.

Thoughts? Anyone have much experience buying from Alibaba?

Alibaba is primarily a wholesaling source for cheap Chinese merchandise. Do not expect premium quality.

I've ordered a bunch of jerseys from there that were all high quality. Never bought a vacuum.

There was a couch I wanted to buy on Amazon, and I found a nearly identical one on Alibaba for less than half the price.

I've only had it for about three months, but so far I love the couch, especially for the price.

As long as you're fine if you have to replace it in a couple years (not saying you will, but you're OK with possibly having to do it), then go for it.

Havent checked the Alibaba in a while, but I seem to recall an option of "500 fit in a container and we can ship 20 containers per month" so may be able to offset the low quality with volume....
