Old (huge corporation) job.
Get woke or get out.
If you are a white dude, you get maybe 1 promotion, unless you decide you are a meaux, then you will qualify for more.
If management doesn't like you, you are done.
New idea? That's cute. Maybe we will get around to that in a year or two.
New (small) company.
If you don't want to work, gtfo.
What's woke? Can I sell it? If not, who cares.
We don't have HR here. If you don't like it, leave.
No idea is a bad idea.
When we make money we profit share.
We will gladly play you for your expertise and will listen to you.
I work for a company that started small like that, and I've been here long enough to see it grow into something in the middle of your two examples. It's sad to see it start to morph into the woke large corporation. They're really trying to hold on to the small company vibes, but it's really impossible to do once infected with the woke HR/recruiter cancer.
