How long do you want to ignore this user?
I saw a picture of a small computer monitor/tv mounted on a wall in a home with a digital calendar on it.
My family really needs something like this, wife and I currently have a shared iphone calendar, how can we get that projected/sync'd to a computer scree/tv mounted on a wall?

We don't have a permanent home computer. We only each have our work computers. I don't have a screen yet.. was figuring I could use prime day to pick on up.. but not sure how to connect it to an icloud calendar?

Echo Show 15 may be what you're looking for.

The other popular one i've seen is Skylight Calendar

We have the Skylight calendar in our kitchen. It syncs with the Cozi app (paid version), which the adults all have on our phones. Family members are color coded, so it's easy for the kiddo to look at the calendar and quickly see what she has on the agenda. Have been using it for about 5 years now and love it.

I installed Hearth for my wife but she doesn't have everything running yet. It is always displaying a shared calendar.

My take is that it wasn't quite ready for prime time and a bunch of promised SW updates and App have yet to materialize.

Skylight is what my wife uses. I think it was worth it, because it can sync up with other calendars so it automatically uploads to my work calendar.

My family uses Google. We all have a Gmail account and our individual calendars are shared with each other. Google consolidates entries from our individual calendars into a shared calendar everyone can see.

We just look at it on our phones/computers, but certainly there are ways to display that in a common area.

That solution that 62strat just posted works with Google calendar

how do you reference it when not in front of it?

My wife has her paper hand book/calendar next to couch, but it's quickly clearly becoming obsolete with kids in sports and appointments and such which you aren't always booking at home on the couch.

This is our exact situation. Bought a 32" fire tv and will use the app you posted. We've got an extra nook in our kitchen that it will go in and fit perfectly.

I tested it out on our living room tv. I like it. But I can't scroll through the calendar. They are adding the functionality in sept with touchscreen. But I can't find a cheap 28-32" touchscreen.

Not the end of the world, I like the setup with a 2 week display. But would love to be able to swipe up and see future weeks/months at a glance.

Now I wonder if I do a web calendar instead (this app does both) and then just have a mouse sitting there next to monitor. I guess I'd need raspberry pi or similar as well.

Can you not open the app on your phone and just switch the display quickly?

yes I can. But if that's the case why have it all? I can just look at my phone.

Scrolling while standing in front of it would certainly be a nice feature to look at upcoming months.

I'm going with regular tv for now, but this tv fits on our deck and we've talked about getting one out there for a while.

So in the future if we really use this and feel we need touch screen, we may swap out for a large touch screen and put this tv on deck.

Something else is addresses. Our kids are in sports and games move all around. Well, on the input side, it's easiest to just type in xx high school, and it pops up, but it has full address like city state zip and country. I don't need all that on the display, so I likely won't be turning on addresses on the display even though I would like it. But with a touch screen, you could just touch the event and the details would pop up.

So a few small kinks, but it looks great. We like the 2 week view.

if they made that in a 24" or so or larger, I wouldn't think twice.

How much of a calendar can you get on a 15" screen? full month, or just 1 week?

Whatever fits on the list. Here's a shot I found online to demonstrate:

It doesn't show calendar events like you'd see in Outlook or something.

oh ok. yeh we both immediately liked the 2 week view. Still room for date/time and weather, just like this (found on google, but pretty much how we set it up)

a full month looks good too, but if you set events to show full (and not just cut off like shown here), then the day boxes fill up quick.

We don't have such robust scheduling needs, so a list works for us. I never knew they had other views available.

Reading the reviews getting the calendar on the show 15 is kind of janky

we were fine up until they both joined the competitive baseball league around here. Previous sports were 1 practice (and being 15 months apart we often got them on the same team) and 1 game a week always at same rec center

Now, two different teams, 2 practices a week each, double header weekends each at varying regional locations. It tipped us over the limit of what we were capable of handling with paper. We filled up the calendar quick in the last month, pretty much every day.
I'm cautiously optimistic that we actually we get through this fall!

Yes, Hello, I would like to sign up for the 7:30 am Pizza Lunches every Tuesday. Also, does the Gold Cup parade go by Bingle and Titwell Rd?

Got an insignia TV and mount for about $85 and should also get 5% back. Will use mango displays. Got tv mounted in the kitchen when today. Not a bad setup, thanks for the idea texags.

I am so lame now as an older family man that I am extremely excited to get rid of the dry erase calendar.
