I did when my Grandmother died unexpectedly of a heart attack. I'm not sure if anyone saw me, though. I went to the bathroom to pull myself together.

Never, but I've only been an adult for about three years.

I don't think men cry like women do. Their eyes water, nose runs, etc...but to boo hoo like women do is nonsense. I've cry all the time, when I'm happy and such.

I work at a small company (7 ish people). My boss is a bit of a momma's boy, and he had a temper tantrum one day and stormed out. I didn't see him (I only heard him talking about "not fair" coming out of the big bosses office, then slamming doors and stuff on his way out), but I'm POSITIVE he was crying. Very awkward the next day...

Oh yeah, I cried once when I had this booger that must've been cemented to the inside of my nose..."watered that eye..."

worst papercut accident of my life. I think my finger even bled a few drops.

After that episode, I took the rest of the day off.

I probably would cry if I were fired, but not boo hoo sob like a baby or woman.

I've been in attendance for two massive layoffs (over 75% of the company), and I can remember women breaking down sobbing hysterically, but I don't ever remember a guy crying. Does it count when famous athletes retire, lose, win????

My coaches and I shed a few tears after our team lost the Pop Warner championship in Austin a couple years ago. Only time I cried in the last 10 years.

Bernie Kosar used to cry every time the Broncos spanked the Browns in the AFC Championship game in the 80's.

I found out my friend had died while I was at work but I kept it in until I got to the car. I tried to leave work right after I found out (ironically I found out on Texags) but all the supervisors were either on the phone or in meetings.

I've only seen women cry here while actually in the office... either because of layoffs or divorces.

Yup, although it had nothing to do with work...he had just found out his 9 year old daughter had been killed in a car accident...cried like a baby. It was a terrible thing to witness, not the crying, but seeing the devastation. And a man crying has nothing to do with his manliness or lack thereof.

As a rule, men don't cry when they're fired. They're too busy trying to memorize the engineering specs of the building, so they have a roadmap for wehe they come back and blow the place up.

abl,

Perfectly reasonable reason to cry right there. I'm not even sure if there is anything you can say in that situation. I think you just bark at his boss to eff off if he tries to bother him about anything work related, and give him plenty of room.

When my son was 3 months old, my wife called me at work to tell me she had rushed him to the emergency room and he was going to be admitted to the hospital with spinal menengitis. I tried to hold it together until I got out the door, but I've never been so scared in my life.

Luckily, I had a buddy there who offered to drive me - I accepted. He understood totally but I still felt silly afterward.

My boy turned out fine, thank God. But anything that has to do with your kids, it gets hard to maintain your demeanor.

We lost a really sweet patient one night and his son totally lost it.The only thing bad was his son was a doctor on our floor and later apologized for it..none needed that compassion is what made him such a caring physician.

We had to sedate a male nurse after the security guard came and told him his son had been killed in a car accident..it was really bad at how many nurses lost children while I worked there.About 4 to car accidents, one to drowning at the Dad's company picnic, one to OD and one to aids and two babies.
